La coppia Elisa Sordello-Elisa Brocard conquista l’argento nella team sprint dei campionati mondiali in Val di Fiemme dietro solamente alla Russia capitanata da Natalia Nepryaeva. Nella gara maschile, quarto posto amaro per i campioni mondiali uscenti Tanel-Becchis.

E’ arrivato uno splendido argento nella team sprint 2×6,5 km femminile ai mondiali di skiroll in programma in val di Fiemme. Sono le due Elisa, Sordello e Brocard, separate da un gap di ben 16 anni di età, nata nel 2000 la prima mentre classe 1984 la seconda, a firmare la settima medaglia iridata nella rassegna trentina. Una gara combattutissima che ha visto le due azzurre prendere le redini della gara a metà gara, salvo arrendersi sul finale alla coppia russa  che ha chiuso la sua prova prima con il tempo di 25:38.2 mettendo 13.6 secondi tra loro e le azzurre. Terzo posto per l’Ucraina giunta al traguardo in 26:06.7.

Un primo anno da senior, al primo mondiale rende questa medaglia davvero bellissima – ha raccontato a fine gara Elisa SordelloOggi mi sentivo davvero bene, sapevo che le seconde frazioniste svedesi e russe erano in forma e quindi ho cercato di dare i cambi sempre in testare avvantaggiare la mia compagna.

Le ha fatto eco anche la Brocard: Confermo che Elisa mi ha dato dei grandissimi cambi, visto che le mie avversarie dirette erano molto toste e questo ha permesso di rimanere sempre agganciate alle migliori. L’ultimo cambio, insieme alla russa e con la Svezia staccata, è stato il finale perfetto che mi ha lanciato all’ultimo giro riuscendo a non farmi raggiungere.

Non riescono a ripetersi invece Matteo Tanel e Francesco Becchis, campioni uscenti di specialità, non trovando posto sul podio. Team sprint maschile che viene vinta dal team svedese (38:25.3), seguiti dalla Norvegia (38:27.5) e dall’Ucraina (38:28.7).
